If you live on one of these streets, you are one of us!
Cousley Drive, Morgan LN, Croop LN, Stebbins Terrace, Fields Terrace, Tait Terrace, Fry Terrace, George Road
We were founded in 1980 as Grassy Point Citizens In Action by a group of neighbors. These forward thinking volunteers created a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to maintain our area as a desirable residential community. Their vision reminds us all of the value of pursuing relationships with the people who live around us.
Because the individuals that live next to us have a big impact on the quality of our lives, our organization strives to create a sense of community and goodwill that allows Grassy Point Sailing Community to thrive.
Every street in our community has a block captain. These volunteers are here to help you meet your neighbors and help you with community information. We all want an attractive, safe community where neighbors can recreate, socialize and work together. Each street has a volunteer Block Captain willing to help you settle in and meet your neighbors.

Neighborhood gatherings give us all a chance to meet and have joyful conversations. Our parties are considered an important way for all of us to socialize and meet new friends.
We typically bring whatever we personally want to drink and an appetizer to share. The hosts are neighbors willing to open their homes. If you would like to host one, please let us know. Our board sets aside funds from our $30 a year dues to offset costs and purchase event insurance.
Our parties are casual, lighthearted and a fun way to meet people who all call Grassy Point Sailing Community our home. We would be delighted to have you attend.
Our typical year has a minimum of the following activities:
January
Annual Meeting and Chili Cooking Contest
February or March
Neighborhood Garage Sale
March
St. Paddy’s Day Party
May
Cinco De Mayo Party
October or November
Fall Fest Party
December
Christmas Party

NO. Many people consider an HOA intrusive. We are a nonprofit neighborhood civic organization known as Grassy Point Citizens In Action (GPCIA). Our organization allows people of like interests to socialize and care for one another. Charlotte County is responsible for code compliance. Yes, neighbors voluntarily pay $30.00 per year, per household to help offset expenses for social activities and community clean up and communications (such as this website). Upon payment of dues, you become a voting member on neighborhood issues. Guests and non-paid neighbors can attend social events for a fee of $5.00 per person. No one is required to join.
When we have your email address, we will invite you to parties. We will also invite you to join our private GroupIO, where only neighbors are members. You can post questions about activities and other needed information such as contractors or doctors other neighbors have used.
